Handmade carving / panel of wood from Indian temple wagon to celebrate Hindu gods. Man on horse and man with dog

Price: 1,850.- DKK

The panel originates from a temple wagon (Rathas) from India used during the festival of Thiruvizha to transport representations of Hindu gods to the temple. The carving is vintage from the early to mid-20th century. It represents a man on a horse, and under the horse's hooves a man and a dog. Very good vintage condition with crack in the wood which can be seen in one picture.
